revealed that the argument was unsound. This is because the truth of the first
premise “The original sovereignty belongs to the monarch” and the second
one “The monarch gives his sovereignty to the people” cannot be proved true.
It is found that the truth of the premise of traditionalists, claiming that Thai
monarch’s accession to the throne is authorized by the people, and the premise
that his right to the throne is based on succession, cannot be confirmed true
by either evidence or principle. The premises imply original sovereignty did not
belong to the monarch. The research, therefore, concluded that the argument
is unsound.
