Results and discussion

Office of National Water Resources (ONWR) and Chulalongkorn University are developing the
new system for economic assessment from satellite image. The case of tropical storm Dianmu
2021 and rice damage is selected to show the calculation result from developed model. Flood
hazard map, flood exposure map in case of rice and flood vulnerability map are combined to
generate the flood risk map in case of rice. The calculation result showed that rice damage is
physical unit as 5,700 sq.km. or 405 million USD in monetary term as shown in Figure 3
