ABSTRACT

The objectives of this study were to determine socio-economic characteristics, people participation

level and factors affecting people participation in rehabilitation of Pa Mae Salid-Pong Daeng national
reserved forest, Wang Prachop sub-district, Mueang district, Tak province. The data gathered by employing
the designed questionnaire and interviewed 192 representatives with their located in 6 villages of Wang

Prachop sub-district, Mueang district, Tak province. Statistical analysis methods employed for testing the
setting hypothesis were t-test and F-test with the given significant level of 0.05. (p-value = 0.05)

The results of this study indicated that the majority of the respondents were male, and with the

average age of 46.71 years. Their educational level was at junior high school, and with the household
members and their average household labors at 4.03 and 2.95 persons, respectively. Their main occupation

was agriculture (farming/gardening/grow plant crops). The average annual household income was 58,378.13
baht per year. Their average settled period was 36.29 years and they were familiarity with the forest officers
at the most level, and having knowledge about forest resource conservation at the high level. They were

participation in rehabilitation of the study national reserved forest at the moderate level with average score
of 3.30. Furthermore, factors affecting people participation in rehabilitation of the study national reserved

forest were educational level and familiarity with the forest officer.
