The “Dao Lom Duen” Project

โครงการ “ดาวล้อมเดือน” เป็นโครงการที่สร้างจุดศูนย์กลางการเรียนรู้ด้านการพัฒนาการเกษตร โดยยกระดับพื้นที่
ที่มีศักยภาพด้านการพัฒนาการเกษตรภายในชุมชนให้เป็นพื้นที่ตัวอย่างการพัฒนา โดยมหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ วิทยาเขต
เฉลิมพระเกียรติ จังหวัดสกลนคร เปรียบเสมือนเดือน และประสานความร่วมมือกับชุมชนบริเวณโดยรอบโครงการ ที่เปรียบ
เสมือนดาว ภาคีเครือข่ายทั้งองค์กรภาครัฐและเอกชน ได้แก่ เทศบาลต�าบลเชียงเครือ องค์การบริหารส่วนต�าบลอุ่มจาน
ส.ก.ต.สกลนคร จ�ากัด ส�านักงาน ธ.ก.ส. จังหวัดสกลนคร กรมชลประทาน กรมปศุสัตว์ กรมการพัฒนาชุมชน และกรมพัฒนาที่ดิน
เพื่อร่วมกันขับเคลื่อนโครงการที่เป็นต้นแบบให้ประสบผลส�าเร็จตามวัตถุประสงค์ คือการยกระดับความเป็นอยู่ของชุมชน
และผู้คนที่อยู่ภายในโครงการให้มีความเป็นอยู่และมีคุณภาพชีวิตดีขึ้น ซึ่ง รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.วิโรจ อิ่มพิทักษ์ อธิการบดี
มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ คนที่ 13 และด�ารงต�าแหน่งกรรมการผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิของธนาคารเพื่อการเกษตรและสหกรณ์การเกษตร
(ในขณะนั้น) จึงได้ริเริ่มโครงการ “ดาวล้อมเดือน” ตั้งแต่ ปี พ.ศ. 2552 โดยน้อมน�าเอาหลักปรัชญาเศรษฐกิจพอเพียงมาใช้
ในการด�าเนินงาน มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อสร้างความเข้มแข็งแก่เกษตรกรและชุมชน (ตลอดแนวคลอง 9 กิโลเมตรและชุมชนที่อยู่
รอบวิทยาเขต) ให้มีความสามารถในการพึ่งตนเองและพึ่งพากันได้อย่างยั่งยืน สามารถปรับปรุงรูปแบบแปลงที่ดินให้เหมาะสม
กับการพัฒนาต่อยอดไปสู่การพัฒนาตามปรัชญาเศรษฐกิจพอเพียง
The “Dao Lom Duen”, social engagement Project aims to build up the learning center for agricultural
development in the community by supporting areas that have the potential to become a blueprint area for
agricultural development. The moon (Duen) represents the Kasetsart University Chalermphrakiat Sakon Nakhon
Province Campus, which works together with its neighbouring communities, like the stars (Dao). The
“Dao Lom Duen” or “Moon among the Stars” Project is also made possible by the alliance between the
government and private sector, such as Chiang khrua Sub-district Council, Umchan Sub-district Administrative
Organization, Sakon Nakhon’s Agricultural Marketing Co-operative Limited, Sakon Nakhon Office of Bank
for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives, Department of Royal Irrigation, Department of Livestock
Development, Department of Community Development, and Department of Land Development. With the
objective of improving the living conditions of the people in the community, the collaboration has helped to
push the project towards success. The project was initiated in 2009 by Associate Professor Dr.Viroch Impithuksa,
the 13 president of Kasetsart University, as well as an advisory member of the Bank for Agriculture and

Agricultural Cooperatives at that time. In addition, the philosophy of sufficiency economy has been one of the
core principles of this project, which plans to improve farmers while strengthening the communities (along the
9-kilometre long canal and around the campus) so that they will be able to rely on themselves and assist one
another in a sustainable way in accordance with the sufficiency economy philosophy.
