International Seminar on Biodiversity and Sustainable Development in the Mekong River Basin i

PREFACE

Kasetsart University Chalermphrakiat Sakon Nakhon Province Campus held International
seminar on “Biodiversity and Sustainable Development in the Mekong River Basin". The program
was supported by Kasetsart University Institute for Advanced Studies, under the project of
Reinventing University Program, Fiscal year 2021, which aimed to create together academics,
researchers, practitioners, scholars, students in various fields to exchange and share their
experiences and knowledge on the sustainable development and disaster prevention of the Mekong
river basin. Besides, it is to encourage greater collaboration among academic university, private
sector, and government sector both in Thailand and overseas collaboration. The operational
committee hoped that this International seminar would be a pilot project to improve the research
growth and thus develop personnel knowledge as an indicator of the successful university
researchers at national level. Thank you all for participating.
